Sheriff

PURPOSE:  Re-Entry Credentials will be required for post-fire access to the areas impacted by the Alexander Mountain Fire. Once fire and law enforcement officials deem the area safe, property owners can present these credentials to gain access to the impacted area.

A credential will be required to access the area. Credentialing is essential to ensure that only residents and property owners are accessing their properties while still keeping these areas closed to the general public and media, reducing opportunities for looting. This also helps us to quickly allow people into the community without causing a long queue at roadblocks and impacting roads being utilized by fire personnel. We do this in advance of the area being opened so that once response personnel deems the area safe to enter, property owners and residents are ready to be admitted into the area with as little delay as possible while still keeping the area private and secure.

This is not an indication that there are imminent plans to lift the evacuation order and this credential will not get you through roadblocks and into evacuated areas until a later date, still to be determined.

Credentialing locations will be opened for residents and property owners from the Storm Mountain and Cedar Park communities beginning Monday, August 5th. Specifically, property owners and residents for the following locations:
