Owl Canyon Road will be reopened from CR 9 to I-25 starting on Friday April 12, 2024. Please be advised that the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be shifting southbound I-25 traffic to the east/northbound I-25 passing lane from just north of the Owl Canyon interchange to the CO-Hwy 1 interchange in Wellington.
A new website and mobile app launched by Larimer County Engineering and Road and Bridge Departments now makes it easier for residents to report issues and other matters on unincorporated Larimer County roads.
Larimer County Engineering hosted an open house to provide information on a right-of-way the county has acquired for public use of Pole Hill Road from Flatiron Reservoir to the Lone Elk Intersection.
In August, road improvements to the County Road [CR] #70 [Owl Canyon Rd.] and CR#9 Roadway Improvement Project begin as part of the Roadway Improvements Project.
Roadway departures still cause most of the crashes on rural roads in Larimer County, but safety improvements and improved monitoring have helped to lower some of these accidents.
