Wildflowers of Carter Lake
Unique wildflowers can sometimes be found in unexpected places. Join Naturalist Ann for a hike along the Sundance Trail to discover unusual wildflowers for the area. You may see plants such as Venus' looking glass or cliff shrub which are normally found at higher elevations. Explore the west side of Carter Lake and its rich abundance of Foothills wildflowers.

This will be an out and back hike going for about 1 mile and then returning. This is an easy-moderate hike with little elevation gain on a natural surface trail.

Meet at Sundance North Trailhead at the North Pines area. Carpooling is recommended as parking is limited. Program is free, but registration and parking pass is required.

Participants should bring:
Sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen)
Wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes (closed toe recommended)
Water
Insect repellant
Lunch & Snacks
Clothing appropriate for the weather
Backpack (to carry it all)

Weather dependent.
