The Larimer County Treasurer & Public Trustee’s Office hosted the Colorado County Treasurer & Public Trustee Association (CCTPTA) annual 2022 seminar at the Embassy Suites in Loveland.

The attendees were welcomed Wednesday by Loveland Mayor Jacki Marsh. Session topics important to treasurers covered Cryptocurrency and Blockchain: human resources law; abatements and tax roll corrections; the Colorado Legislative Process, fraud tactics, and the Colorado Constitutional Division of Duties in county government. Speakers included Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Revenue Mark Ferrandino, CSU Clinical Professor of Management Dr. Asad Aziz, Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith, former Colorado Senator Steve Johnson; members of the Loveland branch of the FBI; and several CCTPTA members. Keynote speaker Dr. Zach Mercurio shared the Power and Practice of Purposeful Leadership. Friday’s sessions were focused on Public Trustee duties and responsibilities.

Irene Josey, Larimer County Treasurer & Public Trustee stated “having members from 41 different counties come together for education and networking in Northern Colorado is an honor. My fellow county treasurers and public trustees enjoy this area and are excited to return next year!”
