Alexander Mountain Fire Reaches 100% Containment on August 17, 2024
We know those impacted by the Alexander Mountain Fire are eager for information on recovery services. We continue to gather information while focusing on supporting first responders in their life safety efforts. Recovery systems are in place, and we are coordinating with our partners to provide resources when more information becomes available.
Post-Fire Entry & Work Authorization
Following the Alexander Mountain Fire, restoration work may be needed throughout the burn area and for downstream communities due to the increased risk of erosion and flooding. Larimer County and its partners cannot do work on private land without the property owner's permission. Even with permission, there are some limitations to what the county can provide, but we have a large number of partner organizations that may be able to assist.
This Right of Entry and Work Authorization Form must be signed for the entities described(i.e., participating recovery organizations) to do any work on your private property. Within this Authorization, you will have the opportunity to opt in or opt out of a number of possible restoration activities, giving you the flexibility to decide what happens on your land.
The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado has established the Northern Colorado Disaster Recovery Fund to meet the immediate and long-term relief and recovery needs of the people and places affected in Northern Colorado. You can learn more about the Fund and make a gift to support response and recovery efforts at Northern Colorado Disaster Recovery Fund.
Per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Larimer County will provide a reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with a disability who need assistance, unless doing so would impose an undue hardship to the County or fundamentally alter services. Services can be arranged with at least seven (7) business days' notice. Please email accessiblity@larimer.org or call 970-498-5967 or Relay Colorado 711. "Walk-in" requests for auxiliary aids and services will be honored to the extent possible but may be unavailable if advance notice is not provided.
