Prior to the commencement of any work, the grantee shall forward Certificates of Insurance to Larimer County. Download the Sample Certificate of Insurance for details.
In general, most grantees will need to provide the following:
- Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability (waived if there are no employees)
- Commercial General Liability
*See Appendix A in your Grant Agreement for specific coverage requirements
It is required that these documents be provided on an annual basis.
General Instructions:
- Ensure that “Larimer County” is listed (and checked off) as additional insured in the General Liability coverage
- “Larimer County” must be listed as the Certificate Holder:

- Grantee agrees that the insurance afforded the County is primary (unless an organization, i.e. Colorado State University, is self-insured)
