The role of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Advisory Board is to advise the Board of County Commissioners to ensure that equity, diversity, and inclusion are central to the ways the County structures services.

The advisory board will review programs, policies, and initiatives and provide feedback and recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on how to structure opportunity, outreach, or services so that all community members have access without regard to personal characteristics.

The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board will have these elements to guide their role: Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion.  These are discussed in greater detail in the board bylaws. 

Community members who meet any of the following characteristics are encouraged to apply:

• Belong to communities that have a history of underrepresentation or marginalization.
• Bring a connection to, relationship with, and advocacy for specific communities with a history of underrepresentation or marginalization.
• Have community relationships, professional background, or other relevant experience in equity issues.
• Passion about the need for institutional change in the areas of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Have experience across multiple dimensions of diversity.

The board will meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month, alternating between Fort Collins and Loveland unless otherwise stated. Contact the Staff Liaison, listed below, for exact times and locations.
