Jody was elected by a county-wide vote in 2020 as Larimer County Commissioner representing District 3, the southern portion of the County. Jody Shadduck-McNally is the first woman to serve in the District 3 seat. This area encompasses Loveland, Berthoud, Estes Park and surrounding areas. She lives in unincorporated Larimer County west of Loveland. She took office January 12, 2020.

Public Service

  • Serving on the NACo Environment Energy Land Use Steering Committee and appointed by Governor Polis to the State Forest Health Council
  • Non Profit founder for two non profits in Larimer County
  • Elected as the first woman to serve in the D3 seat for Larimer County Commissioner
  • Worked with her son and State Legislators in 2014, 2015 on successful legislation for public education
  • Led a grassroots movement with Congressman Neguse in 2019, to introduce US HR 473 which was signed into law in 2020 to established the first outdoor monument in Washington D.C. to commemorate the women’s suffrage movement and passage of the 19th Amendment
  • Worked as one of the leads on the team that advocated for the successful passage by LC voters for Larimer County Behavioral Health Initiative in 2018
  • Served on the Loveland Human Services Commissioner 2017-2020
  • Served on the LC Office on Aging Advisory Council 2017-2020
  • Served on the Thompson School District Master Plan Committee 2016-2020
  • Served on the TSD District Accountability Committee 2006-2019, Chair for 3 years
  • Served on five different TSD School Accountability Committees 2001-2019
  • Served on the TSD Superintendent Advisory Committee 2015-2016
  • Served on the Thompson 2 Life Task Force 2014-2018
  • Graduate Larimer County 101 ~ 2017
  • Volunteer for multiple nonprofits for food insecurity, affordable home building, outdoor trail restoration, river riparian area restoration
  • Volunteer EMT & CPR Instructor 1989-1994
