Who has lived at Ramsay-Shockey Open Space? Why is there a reservoir here? We'll explore the history of this place and how it fits into our region.

This is part of the "Get to Know" series at Ramsay-Shockey Open Space. Topics include ecology, history, and how Larimer County Department of Natural Resources manages this property.

Participants will hike the Besant Point Trail (approximately 3 miles total). This hike will be easy/moderate, traveling over unpaved trails, uneven surfaces, mild elevation gain, and may include mud. The trail is not shaded. Pit toilets are available. There is no potable water.

Program is free, but registration and parking pass ($10/day) is required. You can also check out a free Discover Pack from one of our offices or your local library and use the included temporary parking pass to visit the park for free: https://www.larimer.gov/naturalresources/discover-pack
