Marvelous Mammals of Larimer County

Larimer County is home to varied and beautiful wildlife. Although they may not always be easy to see, we can learn a lot about them by the signs they leave behind. Join us to discover what makes the mammals of Larimer County so marvelous! This will be an introduction to some of the more charismatic species that make their home on Larimer County parks and open spaces. Discover how to recognize scat, sounds, and other signs. Touch real fur pelts. Learn what do to if you encounter wildlife and how to keep everyone safe. If you have an interest in knowing a little more about some of our local wildlife then this program is for you!
This program is geared mostly towards adults but youth ages 8+ yrs. are welcome. This is a beginner style, indoor program designed to introduce you to local wildlife. Participants will meet in the Mountain Lion room at the Horsetooth Area Information Center.
Program is free but registration and parking fee are required.
