Nature Smartphone Photography

You too can take great nature photos with your smartphone. We will learn the basics of nature photography including framing, how to use light and how to take the best people photos. This will be an interactive learning experience as we teach each other the art of photography. We will be strolling around Lions Open Space along the beautiful Poudre River as we demonstrate our new knowledge.
We will meet in the picnic area beside the parking lot. We will walk a very short distance along flat trails primarily. If the river permits we will scramble down the banks and rocks to photograph the river.
This activity is rated: Easy (slow pace, paved and gravel trails with very little elevation change). Challenges: loud noises (roadway).
Program is free but registration is required.
Participants should bring:
Smartphone with camera
Sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen)
Wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes
Water
Insect repellant (optional)
Snacks
Clothing appropriate for the weather
Backpack (to carry it all)
