The Workforce Development Board (WDB) is composed of decision-making individuals and leaders from the workforce system, education, economic development sectors and community leaders dedicated to workforce development. The Workforce Development Board provides employer-led, strategic leadership to assist employers in finding talent for existing and emerging industries by convening necessary partners and to assist community members in reaching their full potential.

- WDBs were created to help employers like you. This system exists to help businesses find qualified workers to meet their present and future workforce needs.
- Being on The Workforce Development Board means being connected to other leaders in the region and local and State politicians.
- One role of the WDB is to collaborate on initiatives to help address workforce development such as labor shortage issues.
- You have a sincere interest in workforce development and the willingness to participate actively, including regular attendance at board meetings/committee meetings, and WDB retreats.
- You have a willingness to contribute your specific expertise, skills, and talents to make the Board as effective as possible.
