Mission

To assure that parents provide adequate financial support for their children.

About the Child Support Services Program:

Child Support Services (CSS) oversees the state's child support system. Individual child support orders are managed by Colorado's county child support offices. There is no fee to apply for child support services.

You can find many helpful services on the CSS website including:

  • Applying for child support services
  • How to create an online account to view specific information on your child support case
  • How and when to request changes to a child support order
  • Different ways to make and receive child support payments
  • Frequently asked questions about child support in Colorado

Visit the CSS website to learn more.

Important Safety Information

CSS takes the safety of all families receiving services seriously. If you are worried about your or your child(ren)’s safety, we can change some of our processes.

We share your address and other personal information with state and federal agencies for child support reasons. The other party might get this information too. If family or domestic violence is an issue, CSS can put an alternate address on public documents or court filings to keep this information safer. This is called non-disclosure of information (NDI). We can also help you apply for the Colorado Address Confidentiality Program to provide you with a secure mailing address.

You can update information about safety at any time. Even if you’ve already told your child support worker that you did not have any safety concerns. We know things change and we want to help you stay safe. Please contact us if you have safety concerns before applying, or if you would like to update your existing case.
