About the Nurturing Parenting Program

Nurturing Parenting is a family-centered, trauma-informed initiative designed to build parenting skills. Each 12-week course is designed to teach positive parenting behaviors and promote healthy parent-child relationships.

Child Support Services has received funding from the Improved Payments and Child Success (IMPACS) Grant to support families who receive child support services by offering this program free of charge. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have an open child support case with Larimer County.
  • Child or children must be aged 0-15 years old.
  • Can be Custodial Party or Non-Custodial Parent.
  • Must be able to attend all the sessions for their course.
  • Must have a household income of under $75,000.

Course Schedule

Participants much attend each hour-long weekly session of the course they enroll in.
 

Session 1: Sept. - Nov. 2024

  • Starts the week of Sept. 1 and runs through Nov. 18. 
  • Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. 
  • Virtual only

Session 2: Jan. - March 2025

  • Starts the week of Jan. 6 and runs through March 24. 
  • Thursdays (Time TBD)

Session 3: April - June 2025

  • Starts the week of April 7 and runs through June 23.
  • Thursdays (Time TBD)

Session 4: July - Sept. 2025

  • Starts the week of July 7 and runs through Sept. 22.
