Larimer County Department of Natural Resources (LCDNR) is conducting a multi-year "Rate Your Day" visitor satisfaction survey to provide insights into visitor experiences at Larimer County parks and open spaces. 

The first two phases, conducted in summer and fall of 2023 and 2024 are complete. A third phase will be conducted in June - October, 2025.

Key findings from the 2024 survey

  • 1,112 responses 
  • 2024 visitors rated their experience an average of 4 out of 5 stars (satisfied).
  • 78.8% of visitors fell into the satisfied to very satisfied range (giving 4 or 5 stars).
  • 52% of visitors gave a full 5-star rating. 
  • 87% of visitors felt safe and welcome.
  • Respondents came from 36 states, with 82% from Colorado.
  • 78% of respondents left additional comments about their visit.

  • Visitors rated their experience an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars (satisfied to very satisfied).
  • 94% of visitors felt safe and welcome.
  • 64% of visitors gave a full 5-star rating.
  • Respondents came from 32 states, with 80% from Colorado.
  • 67% of respondents left additional comments about their visit. 

The survey conducted through a QR code on posters, flyers, social media, and signage at trailheads, campgrounds and visitor centers, featured three questions and took about two minutes to complete. Campers were also invited via email to participate.
