Larimer County Road and Bridge Department offers positions for a variety of skills and levels of experience. The Administrative Office is centrally located in Fort Collins, while our field operations operate out of seven satellite facilities situated strategically throughout Larimer County.

The Road & Bridge Department is comprised of 17 teams that handle a variety of maintenance activities from paved roads maintenance (crack seal, pot hole patching, chip seal, etc.) to non-paved roads maintenance (graveling, grading, etc.). The department also maintains many structures, including bridges, culverts, and guardrails, and completes vegetation management along the road side.

Larimer County Road & Bridge also offers a four 10-hour day work week March-November, year-round work, and training opportunities for career growth.

Individuals applying for employment with the Larimer County Road & Bridge Department will typically complete a practical equipment test and interview process. Completion of a drug test with negative results and a background check is required for all positions. A Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) is also required for all equipment operator positions. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
