Larimer County Sheriff's Office is not a primary reporting agency for motor vehicle accidents unless it occurs within the Town of Wellington or the Town of Berthoud.
- If you are involved in or observe a motor vehicle accident and people are injured, call 911 immediately. If there are no injuries, exchange information with the other driver(s) and call Colorado State Patrol Dispatch at (303) 239-4501 or *CSP from your cell phone (this is a free call) to report the accident.
- If you are in the Town of Wellington or the Town of Berthoud and are involved in or observe a motor vehicle accident and people are injured, call 911 immediately. If there are no injuries, exchange information with the other driver(s) and call Larimer County Sheriff's Office at (970) 416-1985.
Colorado State Law Requires that ALL motor vehicle accidents must be reported immediately!

Accident Alert Information
All motor vehicle accidents must be reported to the proper Law Enforcement Agency. Report must be made without delay and no later than three days from the accident. Online or counter reports are allowed when there is no personal injury, no drugs or alcohol involved.
