The purpose of Internal Affairs is to ensure the integrity and professional operation of the agency through objective and impartial investigations, audits, and reviews. Our goal is to create and maintain a partnership between law enforcement and the community we serve.
There are several ways to recognize an employee for a positive interaction or initiate a complaint against a Larimer County Sheriff's Office employee:
- Contact any supervisor who may be able to assist or pass your information to an Internal Affairs investigator for further follow up if necessary.
- Call the Comment Line at (970) 498-5187.
- Pick up a Citizen Information Report from our front desk (or download and print) and submit it in person or through the U.S. Postal Service.
- Submit an online Citizen Information Report.
All commendations and complaints from the public are accepted and may be documented with follow up investigation as needed.
