Drop-off locations:
If you live in an area where curbside recycling is not available (or even if you do!), you may utilize these recycling drop-off centers. Recycling containers at most of these locations are separated by material type.
LCSW Recycling Drop-off Area
Open Monday-Saturday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Accepts everyday recyclables such as cardboard, glass, paper, and mixed containers, as well as plastic bags.
Free of charge to recycle.
The Site Map of Landfill and Facilities shows the location of the recycling containers.
Please note:
- Lids and labels are okay.
- Free your recyclables! Don't place bagged recyclables in the bins. (Bagged recyclables go to the landfill.)
- Your recyclable containers should be empty, clean and dry when recycled.
- Plastic windows on envelopes, tape, rubber bands and staples do not have to be removed before recycling paper and paper products.
- Don't recycle anything smaller than a credit card or a 4 oz container.

Can I recycle computers?
Computers and electronics can be recycled for a fee at the Electronics Recycling scale house, just north of the recycling bins. Please see Electronics Recycling for more information and fees.

Can I recycle appliances?
Large appliances are recycled near the landfill's disposal area. Regular landfill fees are charged, which may include a freon removal fee, if appropriate.

Can I recycle ink cartridges?
In an effort to place fewer plastics into our landfill, the Solid Waste Department has developed a partnership to recycle inkjet and laser jet cartridges. If you're currently throwing away your used cartridges, please consider dropping them off instead at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility at the Landfill, 5887 S. Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins, open Monday-Saturday (except Wednesdays), from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
