Larimer County has submitted its 2022 Fourth-Quarter Project and Expenditure Report on its use of Fiscal Recovery Funds. These funds, of which Larimer County was allocated $69.3 million, were provided through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). The report shows that during the third quarter of 2022 Larimer County spent $37.6 million during the quarter as follows:

  • $561,000 as reimbursement for eligible payroll costs in the Community Justice Alternatives Department
  • $412,000 in reimbursements under the county's Immediate Needs Grants program
  • $54,000 for testing, symptom monitoring, and COVID-19-related health services for inmates in the county jail.
  • $41,000 for a prosecution position in the District Attorney's Office.
  • $15,000 for administrative costs
  • $9,200 for vicarious trauma training in the Community Justice Alternatives Department.
  • The County also applied $36.5 million in SLFRF funding from the Lost Revenue provision to routine operating costs expended during 2022, enabling increased flexibility for these funds to be used on transformative regional projects

The report is available on the county's ARPA website at www.larimer.gov/budget/FRF

The next quarterly report will be for expenses during the first quarter of 2023. The next Board of County Commissioners Work Session on ARPA is on February 15 at 1:30 PM.
