Larimer County Department of Natural Resources (LCDNR) is seeking ideas from community members on desired marina services in Larimer County, specifically at Horsetooth Reservoir and Carter Lake. Integration of community input is a vital component for LCDNR to deliver the services the community desires in a marina.

An open bidding process for a contracted marina operator will occur this summer, with the contracted operator beginning in 2024. Prior to the ‘Request for Proposals’ opening, LCDNR is soliciting community members to provide desired marina operation and service ideas to maintain and/or improve the overall visitor experience. LCDNR staff will then consider community members’ ideas as an important component to help guide the bidding proposal process, evaluation, and selection.

A virtual idea board is now open through February 22 to collect community ideas. The idea board can be accessed at: lcconnects.mysocialpinpoint.com/marina-ideas.

Larimer County Department of Natural Resources manages public recreation at Horsetooth, Pinewood, Flatiron, and Carter Lake reservoirs and several open spaces in Larimer County.
