The Office on Aging Advisory Council hosts the forum each spring with the goal of connecting the community with important resources. "I think it's important because our aging population in the county is ever-increasing," Jacque Penfold, the Office on Aging Advisory Council Vice-Chair, said. "There are so many wonderful resources out there that people are not aware of, and I see this as a perfect opportunity to spread the word. I hope people left today with information that they are excited to share. It's a great way to reach people and let them know what's out there."
Attendee Christine Haptonstall felt the forum was successful in this goal, saying "I learned a lot and I'm excited to share the resources to help a friend get into some affordable housing. It was very informational and I really enjoyed it."
