On July 8, 2023, the Larimer County Coroner’s Office responded to a motorcycle crash on Highway 287 Mile Marker 383 and High Lonesome Road in Virginia Dale, CO. The decedent was identified as 47-year-old Alan Davis of Wellington, CO.

A full forensic autopsy was performed on July 10, 2023, at the Larimer County Forensic Sciences Center by Dr. J. White, D.O.
