Larimer County Natural Resources releases "Rate Your Day" survey results

Larimer County Department of Natural Resources (LCDNR) is excited to share the results of its first "Rate Your Day" visitor satisfaction survey, conducted from June to October last year. With 761 responses, the survey provided valuable insights into visitor experiences at Larimer County parks and open spaces.

Key findings:

  • Visitors rated their experience an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars (satisfied to very satisfied).
  • 94% of visitors felt safe and welcome.
  • Respondents came from 32 states, with 80% from Colorado.
  • 64% of visitors gave a full 5-star rating.
  • 67% of respondents left additional comments about their visit.

The survey conducted through a QR code on posters, flyers, social media, and signage at trailheads, campgrounds and visitor centers, featured three questions and took less than two minutes to complete. Campers were also invited via email to participate.

Areas of improvement directly resulting from the 2023 effort include increased public communication regarding the Chimney Hollow Open Space and Reservoir area construction, streamlining restroom hours at campgrounds (if applicable), and addressing poor road condition concerns as warranted.

This summer, the "Rate Your Day" survey will return from June through October at all LCDNR-managed parks and open spaces. The survey provides real-time feedback, helping LCDNR improve its customer service.
