Larimer County's Transportation Capital Expansion Fees will increase by 10.0% on July 1, 2024.  The adjustment in the fees each year reflects changes in road construction costs during the previous year and is based on the Colorado Construction Cost Index data compiled and reported by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). Larimer County has been collecting transportation capital expansion fees from new traffic generating development since 1998.  These funds are to be used for improvements to the road system to accommodate the increase in traffic generated by the new development.  The Engineering Department manages these fees and related studies.
