New Director of Behavioral Health on board
Amy Martonis has been selected as Larimer County’s new Director of Behavioral Health, bringing 12 years of experience in Behavioral Health experience to the position, totaling 16 years in executive leadership roles in human service sectors.
As director, she will lead Larimer County Behavioral Health and its partners in providing a continuum of care for the Larimer County community. She began work in Larimer County last month.
Martonis last served from November 2015 to July 2024 as the Director of the Master of Social Work Program at Colorado State University, pioneering a joint-degree program to meet a workforce gap for co-occurring addiction and behavioral health needs.
“Amy brings a wealth of varied clinical and executive leadership experience to the role of Behavioral Health Services Director. She has a passion for this work and a deep understanding of the management needs of a multi-million dollar program,” said Laura Walker, Human and Economic Health Director
Before her role at CSU, she served as an owner of Rooted Emergence Behavioral Health in Loveland, Colorado. Martonis will report to Laura Walker, the Human and Economic Health Director at Larimer County.
