Erin Rosar, Application Support Team Lead in the Information Technology Department, is the recipient of the 2024 Ranger Brendan Unitt Community Service Award.

Rosar dedicates her free time and passion to the community by volunteering with international Star Wars costuming organizations. The impact of her volunteerism is felt throughout northern Colorado and southern Wyoming as she spreads joy and hope to the community through attending special events, raising funds for local nonprofits, and participating in various educational events.

“We recognize that for every nominated individual, there are many others who selflessly contribute their time and energy to our community. These individuals, both nominated and unnominated, do not give for recognition, but out of a genuine desire to make a difference,” said Larimer County Commissioner Jody Shadduck-McNally.

Erin not only serves our community, but she also serves the organizations she volunteers for, creating a community that thrives off of the family and community that is developed there. Erin has the ability to connect with those she advises in the organization and those she interacts with in the community. That connection serves as a lifeline for many who are searching for a sense of belonging and find it in connecting with Erin.

“True service goes beyond simply volunteering; it's about giving even when you're already stretched. And forming deep connections with the organizations you serve. This year's recipient exemplifies this spirit, finding an extended family through her volunteer work and embodying the essence of giving,” said Larimer County Commissioner Kristin Stephens.

“The Board of County Commissioners and our fellow elected officials are incredibly proud of the work our county employees do, both in their official roles and in their contributions to our community. This award embodies that spirit and honors the lasting legacy of Ranger Unitt's service,” added Larimer County Commissioner John Kefalas.

The Ranger Brendan Unitt Community Service Award is presented to a Larimer County employee in his memory who demonstrates a passion for serving their community through selfless acts of community service.
