On March 10, 2025, the Board of Larimer County Commissioners held a public hearing for the Platte River Power Authority 1041 permit request to install five natural gas aero-derivative turbines for electric power generation at the Rawhide Power Plant.

After the public comment portion of the meeting was completed, the Board of County Commissioners requested additional information from the applicant and initially extended the hearing to March 24, 2025. At the request of the applicant, the continued public hearing will be moved to April 21, 2025.

The matter will still appear on the March 24 hearing agenda where the commissioners will call up the matter to formally continue it on the record.  However, no additional presentations or public comment will occur on March 24, 2025. Additional information about the April 21, 2025 meeting will be posted on the following web page prior to that hearing at https://publicinput.com/prpa.
