Three new public electric vehicle charging stations have been added at Larimer County facilities, including two at Larimer County Department of Natural Resources (LCDNR) visitor centers.

The chargers are part of a larger network of EV chargers in the northern Colorado region, bringing the total number of chargers accessible to the public to five.

The three new EV charging stations are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for a fee made via credit card to help increase community access to sustainable transportation options.

The new EV chargers are located at:

  • LCDNR Administrative Offices, 1800 S. County Rd. 31, Loveland, CO [Level 2 charger]
  • LCDNR Horsetooth Area Information Center, 4200 W. County Rd. 38E, Fort Collins, CO [Level 2 charger]
  • Larimer County Administrative Services Building, 200 W. Oak St., Fort Collins. [DC Fast Charger]

The two other EV chargers are located at:

  • Larimer County Fleet Services Campus, 6994 Rickenbacker Road, Loveland, CO [Level 2 chargers]
  • Larimer County Loveland Campus, 200 Peridot Ave., Loveland, CO [Level 2 charger]

The chargers support Larimer County’s commitment to supporting cleaner transportation solutions and promoting cleaner air while reducing greenhouse emissions. As a component within the 2024 -- 2028 Larimer County Strategic Plan, they are part of the county’s effort to expand EV infrastructure and help community members transition to electric vehicles by placing the charging stations in convenient locations throughout the county.

All three chargers are part of the Charge Point Network, which is partially funded by a Charge Ahead Colorado grant.

More information about charging locations, pricing, and charging opportunities can be found by visiting Electric Vehicles Resources and Information.
