Crisis Response Fund Recipients Announced

We would like to announce that the organizations that will receive funding from the BHS Crisis Response Fund have been determined. Please see the details regarding the funding requests that will be supported with the first round of emergency funding.

The COVID-19 coronavirus has gripped the world and affected every individual in our community. In response to this uncertain time, the Behavioral Health Services Crisis Response Fund was established.

The goal of this fund is to make immediate financial support available to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits organizations that provide mental health/substance use treatment and/or services that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in Larimer County.

The money designated for the Crisis Response Fund comes directly from the Board of County Commissioner approved 2020 BHS Impact Fund which receives its funding through the 2018 voter-approved ballot initiative. The ballot initiative directs money from a 0.25% portion of county sales and use tax to support behavioral health needs in Larimer County.

The following priorities were identified as eligible for funding:

  1. Meeting increased demand for new and existing behavioral health services
  2. Adapting delivery model to offer virtual care/services
  3. Community awareness and outreach efforts

We are pleased to announce that the following nine organizations will receive funding for a total of $115,545 in awards:

  • Health District of Northern Larimer County
  • Boys & Girls Club
  • Alliance for Suicide Prevention
  • La Cocina
  • Healing Warriors
  • The Matthews House
  • Sexual Assault Victim Advocate (SAVA)
  • Crossroads Safehouse
  • Center for Family Outreach
