In the 2025 BHS Annual Report, we show our community how we are honoring our commitment to well-being and Larimer County’s dedicated behavioral health tax.
The Behavioral Health Services 2026-2030 Strategic Plan serves as our compass for the next five years, ensuring that our community remains a place where mental and behavioral health are prioritized
By integrating continuous stakeholder input and building upon vital foundations like the Community Master Plan 2.0, we are committed to creating a system that is as flexible as it is sustainable
This plan represents our commitment to you. Together, we are building a behavioral health care system that supports every individual in Larimer County
| Our Purpose and Promise | |
|---|---|
| Vision | Larimer County is a community where people are empowered and supported in accessing a full range of behavioral health services that promote well-being for all. |
| Mission | We aim to develop a sustainable and flexible behavioral health system through community investments and partnerships. |
Our work is driven by three key values that ensure we remain accountable to the residents of Larimer County:
Stewardship: We build trust through the responsible use of behavioral health services tax dollars
Partnership: We are better together and work to enhance cross-sector collaboration
Community: Our collective efforts lead to shared growth and success that can benefit every individual
To turn our vision into reality, we have identified six strategic priorities. These focus areas allow us to maximize the impact of the behavioral health sales-use tax while addressing the most pressing needs of our workforce and infrastructure
| Priority Area | Our Strategy |
|---|---|
Community-Driven Investments | Develop and implement multiple funding mechanisms driven by community input, data, and measurable outcomes. |
Operational Excellence | Maximize the impact of Larimer County behavioral health sales-use tax revenue. |
Behavioral Health Workforce Capacity | Advance recruitment, development, and retention strategies with behavioral health providers. |
Governance and Partnerships | Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create solutions and advance the behavioral health system. |
Communications and Public Engagement | Build trust in and awareness of the tax; tell the story of its impact in our community. |
System Infrastructure | Strengthen the behavioral health system through investments in multi-year funded initiatives. |
