Waitlist
Entry into Community Corrections depends on available bed space as well as the client’s programming and treatment needs. For security reasons, staff cannot provide specific details about an individual’s place on the waitlist or the exact date they will enter the program. Timeframes may be longer for clients awaiting specialized programming (such as inpatient substance use or dual diagnosis treatment). Waitlist estimates are updated once per month.

Diversion
Males: 4–5 weeks
If referred to a specialized program (RDDT, IRT, STIRT, DV, SO), the wait time may be longer.Females: 2–3 weeks
If referred to a specialized program (RDDT, IRT, STIRT, DV, SO), the wait time may be longer.
Department of Corrections (DOC)
Males: 8–10 weeks after acceptance
If referred to the dual diagnosis program (RDDT), the wait time is 5–7 months.Females: 4–6 weeks after acceptance
If referred to the dual diagnosis program (RDDT), the wait time is 2–3 months.
Evaluation Process
As part of the screening process, each referred individual participates in a one-on-one interview with an evaluator. During this interview, information is gathered about:
Current and past offenses
Court sentences and supervision history
Mental health and substance use concerns
Social and personal history
The evaluation gives individuals an opportunity to share their story and provide context about their lives.
Acceptance into Community Corrections, or denial, is determined by a range of factors. Success in the program depends greatly on each individual’s willingness to take responsibility for their decisions and their motivation to make positive changes.
