Tina Harris serves as the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder. Appointed by the Larimer County Board of Commissioners in April 2023 to fill a vacancy, Tina was elected by voters in the 2024 General Election to continue serving in this role. Her extensive experience within the Clerk and Recorder’s Office, operational expertise, and commitment to a non-partisan approach have been key to her success.
With 26 years of service to Larimer County, Tina’s career began as a Vehicle Licensing Technician. Throughout her tenure, she has held various leadership roles, mentoring many of the office’s current leaders and driving key innovations that have strengthened operations and improved public service.
Tina’s contributions to the Clerk and Recorder’s Office are numerous. In 2024, she launched the Recording Activity Notification (RAN) system to enhance transparency and protect property owners. She upgraded the Vehicle Licensing call queue system to include a call-back feature, improving customer experience and efficiency. She also added an election data dashboard to the office’s website, significantly increasing transparency by allowing residents to track election results in real time and access historical election data with ease.
Tina has administered elections since her appointment and brings a wealth of experience to all three major functions of the Clerk and Recorder’s Office: Elections, Recording, and Vehicle Licensing. She has held nearly every role in Vehicle Licensing, managed voting sites for Elections, and previously served as Manager of the Recording Department. Tina holds a Secretary of State Certification in Elections and is a nationally Certified Elections/Registration Administrator (CERA).
As Clerk and Recorder, Tina leads a dedicated staff of 94 employees who administer elections, safeguard the foundation of county government by recording property and other public records, and serve as agents of the state in administering vehicle titling and licensing processes that impact residents’ daily lives.
Tina and her husband, Rick, have been married for 36 years and live in Fort Collins. She is a devoted mother and proud grandmother to eight grandchildren. She is also the proud owner of an 18-month-old corgi named Charlie, who has earned the title of unofficial office mascot — also known affectionately as the “Clerk & ReCorgi.”
