Join a Legacy of Learning and Leadership

4-H has deep roots in Larimer County dating back more than a century. What began in the early 1900s as a movement to give farm youth hands-on learning opportunities has grown into a vibrant community organization that reaches well beyond agriculture. Nationwide, 4-H is a community of more than 6.5 million young people learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills.

Today, more than 1,000 youth across Larimer County participate in 4-H each year. The program offers more than 50 different project areas, including:

  • Traditional livestock projects
  • STEM projects like robotics and model rocketry
  • Creative arts projects like leatherwork and photography
  • Natural resource projects like beekeeping and sportfishing
  • And so much more

Larimer County Extension invites youth ages 5-18 and their families to learn all that 4-H has to offer at our annual Open House. From 6:00pm to 7:30pm, you’ll meet 4-H members and explore project displays to understand just what youth create in 4-H, and experience the hands-on learning, self-discovery, and connections awaiting.
