Join us for a private nature walk with Department of Natural Resources' naturalist staff through our beautiful landscape. During our walk we will explore how this 64,000+ acre department really works, learn about exciting new properties not yet open to the public and finish with dinner and a meet and greet with DNR Staff. If a hike is not your speed, feel free to register and join us for the meet and greet and dinner starting around 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided. All community members are welcome (must be 12 and older), but registration is limited, so register today for this free event.

Parking: If you do not have a LCDNR Entrance Permit, parking passes will be provided for all participants.

August 19th, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Walk:
• Meeting Location: Blue Sky Trail Head, 4780 W County Rd 38 E, Fort Collins, CO 80526
- Water and Restrooms are located at the trailhead.
• Walk: Participants will be walking the Bay to Bay Trail at Horsetooth Reservoir. This 1.75 mile walk is along a narrow, flat and easy trail. We will end at South Bay Pavilion, and participants will be shuttled back to their cars after dinner
- No or limited steep hills and few obstacles
- Acceptable for novice users
- No loose footing or difficult terrain
• Participants should bring:
- Binoculars, if you have them
- Sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen)
- Wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes (closed-toe recommended)
- Water
- Clothing appropriate for the weather
- Backpack (to carry it all)

Dinner with a View: 6:30-7:30 p.m.
• Meeting Location: Horsetooth Reservoir South Bay Pavilion, 4200 W County Rd 38 E, Fort Collins, CO 80526
- Water and Restrooms are located onsite.
