Earlier this year, Larimer County, the City of Loveland, and the City of Fort Collins partnered to address local housing challenges through the creation of a Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA). Following the completion of the RHNA, we are ready to take the next step.

This upcoming work session marks the start of the discussion to form Larimer County’s first Housing Action Plan (HAP), in accordance with SB24-174.

What to expect at this Work Session:

  • An Initial Discussion, Not a Final Plan: This session is an open dialogue with County Commissioners to begin drafting the plan; it is not a presentation of a finished product.
  • Establishing Priorities: Root Policy will guide a conversation with county leadership to translate recent data into actionable strategies, seeking the Commissioners' guidance on priorities for affordability, housing stability, and future growth.
  • Shaping the Future: The feedback from this session will be used to actively build and refine the final Housing Action Plans for the County.
These work sessions provide an opportunity for community members, partners, and stakeholders to stay informed during the earliest steps of the county's housing plan.

Meetings are open to the public and can be attended in person. Meetings are also livestreamed on the County’s website.
