What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a robust training/on-boarding tool used by employers that
- combines on-the-job training and technical instruction to help workers enter highly skilled occupations
- allows employers to gain value from the workforce sooner – filling shortages more quickly
- provides employees the chance to “earn and learn.” Workers earn a salary while gaining skills and providing value to the employer
