Branch Out is a free 6-week program for youth ages 10-17 provided by CSU Larimer County Extension that will inspire and empower students to discover how time in nature improves mental, emotional, and physical health.

Learn about outdoor safety and navigation, explore local wildlife and plants, create nature-inspired art, practice noticing your surroundings, and take on fun challenges that get you moving, thinking, and connecting like:

Program Details
Dates: Wednesdays, April 1–May 6
Meet-up: 5:00–6:30pm
Location: Arapaho Bend Natural Area
Program Dates
Attend at least 4 out of the 6 sessions and complete the evaluation to receive a $25 gift card to Jax Outdoor Gear!

Please come with appropriate gear for the weather. In cases of severe weather, we will try to notify you of program cancellation 24 hours in advance.
Meet Your Facilitator
Each session is guided by trained facilitator, Christa Timmerman, MPH, Certified NOLS Wilderness First Responder, and Health & Well-being Specialist with Larimer County CSU Extension.
Christa brings her passion for hiking, angling, gardening, and outdoor adventure to each session.
