We couldn’t operate the market without the generous support of our Colorado Master Gardeners and our community partners. We love connecting with local businesses and organizations, so find out how you can help the Larimer County Farmers' Market serve everyone!
Sponsor Market Days for Older Adults
Colorado is one of a small handful of states in the U.S. that does not offer a Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (Senior FMNP), which is a national program administered by the USDA, which provides funding to state agencies to enable older adults to receive financial assistance to shop at farmers markets. As a result, the Larimer County Farmers' Market is the only farmers' market in the state that offers an internal solution to the lack of a statewide Senior FMNP effort, our Market Days for Older Adults program, which has served the older adult community in Larimer County since 2018.
In Market Days for Older Adults, participants receive monthly vouchers to spend at the farmers’ market, eligible with over 30 local produce (fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, microgreens) vendors. The Larimer County Farmers’ Market, the oldest farmers market in northern Colorado, has been a cornerstone for the local agricultural community, and the Market Days program helps guide more money directly into the pockets of local farmers.
Your sponsorship provides locally grown produce to older adults experiencing food insecurity.
