The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment (LCDHE) investigates complaints regarding environmental hazards that impact public health. This includes concerns about air quality, solid and hazardous waste, drinking water, septic systems, retail food safety, public facility safety and sanitation, and more.

If you think you got sick from something you ate at a retail food establishment, please use the Foodborne Illness Complaint Form.
Once you submit your complaint, our team will review it to see if it falls within the bounds of enforceable county regulation. If so, a specialist will be assigned to your complaint and begin investigating.

LCDHE cannot investigate complaints regarding:
- indoor air quality
- mold, asbestos, or pests in rental or privately owned properties
- indoor hoarding
- tenant-landlord disputes
- non-retail food pest infestations
- residential noise complaints
