Thank You to Bethany Atichision, Vehicle Licensing Coordinator from a Community Member

If Larimer County has an employee exception service award, we would like to nominate Bethany Aitchison, Vehicle Licensing Coordinator.

Customer Service in every sector of private and public business has been sorrowfully lacking in the last 10-15 years. Bethany did not make us feel like we were a problem, bother, or burden. She made us feel like she was not only willing to help us but, actually wanted to help us. She made the process simple and we felt secure that she would take care of the problem and she did!

If you do not have an award system, please acknowledge her exceptional service in some way. Larimer County is lucky to have her.

Hi Tony,
We're the people with the brown geodesic dome house.... I talked with you Thursday am, on County Road 37E . About Scott's site. Glad to see at least someone's got Larimer County called in, and the County's aware of that construction site mess.

Wanted to say thanks, even if 2-3 years late, for helping us get the needed retroactive permit for our deck & gazebo, where you explained the things we needed to do, looked at all our subsequent photos of the deck's structure, printed out copies. We even met with Eric Fried, and he OK'd as not applicable some of the many code issues, from the photos sent in (like the roofing shingles)..

We did then get the needed permit, and it took us about a year or 11 months, to find anyone to do the necessary supports & bracing. Scott finally surfaced --tho he simply subbed out all the work to 2 guys from Longmont. But we're now all braced & the deck structure s/be all OK. Richard Vanvalkenburg & another inspector Jeff Hill both came out; we're approved & the permit was finalled in 2015.

It was Permit # xxxxxx, and our last approval was x/xx/xx. Hope this is enough to let you close your file?

Again, thanks for your help--without it, we'd have had a much more difficult time getting things done right.

Please tell Richard Vanvalkenburg we said hello--and convey our thanks to Eric Fried, Jeff Hill too. We sure found dealing with Larimer County a pleasant & business-like experience. We knew when we bought our place it was in a short sale, with a deceased former owner. So we expected there might be some corrections, and our fixing the deck's supports to code clearly was necessary.

If out our way again, stop by and you can check out all the bolts and posts & beams we put in! Nice to see you again, keep up the good work.

Best, Johanna & Dave

Email Sent to Angela Myers from a Fort Collins Vehicle Licensing Customer Regarding Matt Lopez, Vehicle Licensing Tech II

Good morning,

I wanted to pass on to you my experience in getting license plates for my new vehicle.  I had an appointment at 8:45 this morning and was assisted by Matt, I believe at station 6.  He was professional and knowledgeable as well as a very polite young man.  I was in an out in 15 minutes and my day started out great! The entire process at your office has become so efficient and not nearly as painful as it was years ago!  In my opinion, Matt is a valuable member  of your team.

Thank you,

Susie
