Important Campground Notices for 2025
Due to ongoing site improvements and road construction currently in progress, the following campgrounds and boat ramps are impacted. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, utilize other areas of the reservoir that remain unimpacted, and follow signage:

  • Eagle Campground & Overflow Parking Lot: Starting September 22, the campground and overflow parking lot will be temporarily closed until further notice. Visitors can only access the shower house via the 400 ft. walkway marked by cones from the parking area on CR 31. Please plan accordingly for any accessibility needs or if you are carrying lots of items.
  • North Pines Campground & Boat Ramp: Starting August 4th, the campground will be temporarily closed. After September 1, there will be no access to the North Pines area during the week (Monday–Friday) until further notice. The boat ramp and day-use areas will be open on Saturdays and Sundays only.
  • Big Thompson Campground: Starting April 1, the campground will begin transitioning into day-use parking and will not offer camping. The area is currently closed until further notice.
  • South Bay/Inlet Bay Campgrounds & Boat Ramps: During active construction there will be limited parking and single-lane access. One boat ramp will be open to access the reservoir at Horsetooth at all times. Satanka ramp is closed after Labor Day due to normal closure times.
