LCSO Emergency Services Exploration Series

The Emergency Services Exploration Series (ESES) is an educational program designed for Larimer County residents, students, and business owners. Participants will learn about LCSO's involvement in wildland fire, disaster response, search and rescue, and emergency medical operations. During this highly interactive program, attendees will participate in scenarios, try out equipment, connect with experts in the field, and more.

Each week will include different topics, tools, and demonstrations, all presented by staff and local volunteers who do this work year round. Participants are asked to attend all four classes (barring emergencies). Topics include wildland firefighting, fire mitigation, search and rescue, dive rescue, ski rescue, unmanned aerial systems (drones), and field medical care. This is not a certification program, but it will give participants firsthand perspective into the work of these teams.
