Larimer County Department of Natural Resources (LCDNR) has updated the application timeline for its 2026 Short-Term Concessionaire (STC) program. Applications will be accepted from October through December for the following year, and will not be accepted after December 31. Staff will review all applications in early January, with final selections made by mid-January and notifications sent to all applicants by February 1.

The new schedule allows LCDNR to collect and evaluate all proposals at the same time, ensuring they are considered consistently and in alignment with department values, site needs, and the overall visitor experience. By consolidating the process, applicants also receive a clear timeline for planning their 2026 operations.

A short-term concession is a permitted use on lands or waters managed by LCDNR. Concessions may be commercial or non-commercial in nature and are authorized for one year or less, with the possibility of renewal in subsequent years. These activities often include services or programs that enhance the visitor experience at parks and open spaces while supporting conservation goals.

Applicants must submit the Short-Term Concession Application along with a business proposal. Application materials, license requirements, and additional details are available at larimer.gov/naturalresources/specialusepermits under the ‘Short-Term Concessions’ tab.
