Nicole Hahn has been named the new Director of Engineering for Larimer County. Hahn will assume the position of long-serving Larimer County Director of Engineering, Mark Peterson, who is retiring.

Hahn brings over 20 years of professional regional and municipal experience in Colorado to the position, much of that in Northern Colorado, most recently serving as the City Engineer for the City of Loveland, and before that, with the City of Fort Collins.

"We are pleased to have Nicole Hahn join to lead Larimer County's engineering efforts. With her extensive background in transportation planning and project delivery, she understands the unique challenges of our region,” said Lesli Ellis, Larimer County Director of Community Planning and Infrastructure Resources. “Nicole is known for leading with purpose and communicating complex engineering and infrastructure issues clearly across jurisdictions. She joins a strong, established team, and her expertise will be vital as we work together to address our long-range capital priorities and strengthen our regional partnerships."

Hahn has extensive experience in project management and construction, transit, and transportation planning, and demonstrated leadership experience with municipal and state engineering organizations, including the Colorado Department of Transportation, and can collaborate with regional and municipal partners involving long-range planning. She is knowledgeable and sensitive to the diverse transportation needs in Larimer County.

She began work in Larimer County last week.
