The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment hires Larimer County youth between the ages of 16-18 (*need to be 16 at the time of hire) for the position(s) of Youth Engagement Specialist.
The $17.00/hr. position is a 6-12 month commitment at 10 hours per week. Applicants must be a high school student for the upcoming school year to be considered and must reside in the boundaries of the school district in which they are applying. The work will be a combination of in-person and remote.
LCDHE is currently hiring 2 YES Interns to start in August 2024. One position will serve in the Fort Collins community and one position will serve in Estes Park. Applicants must be a high school student for the upcoming school year to be considered and must reside in the boundaries of the school district in which they are applying

The focus of the work includes, but is not limited to:
- Outreach to local youth
- Developing social media and print materials
- Providing perspective to inform health outreach & education activities
- Serving on community-wide coalitions
- Facilitating youth-led coalitions
