Why do I complete the W-4 form?
The W-4 is completed by employees so that employers can withhold the correct Federal income tax from your pay. The IRS made significant changes to the W-4 form in 2020, so if you haven’t made any changes to your form since then, it will look very different. Please complete the form carefully.
This form is confusing and I am unsure if I filled it out right.
Payroll cannot give tax advice or recommendations on what specifically to enter in the W-4 form. However, you can click here for general instructions on how to complete this new form.
Webinar Available
A webinar presented by Larimer County’s Payroll Manager is available for viewing on the Larimer County Learning Center (Absorb). It provides additional information and instructions for completing the form.
To access the W-4 Form Changes webinar, make sure you are signed in to Absorb and then click this link.
If you need additional help, it would be best to contact a tax advisor.
