SCOPE OF WORK

Widening and repaving approximately 1.2 miles of roadway (Highway 1 to CR 17). Improvements will include:

• 2-way center turn lane
• paved shoulders
• asphalt overlay
• update existing culverts and irrigation ditch crossings
• possible turn lanes at CR 17 intersection

PURPOSE

This project is planned due to:

• deteriorating pavement conditions
• safety improvements
• capacity improvements

This project is not related to the Thornton Pipeline project. Questions regarding the proposed pipeline should be directed to Larimer County Community Development, Planning Department at (970) 498-7679.

BUDGET

$3,500,000

PROJECT STATUS

• engineering design consultant hired (JUB Engineering)
• preliminary plans expected to be complete this year
• topographic survey complete (King Surveying)
• coordination with ditch company and utilities in progress
• an open house for public comment will be scheduled once preliminary plans are complete
• construction is expected to begin in 2026
