Responsibility
Larimer County Road and Bridge works in conjunction with the Larimer County Engineering Department to manage, install and maintain traffic control devices, signs and markings on Larimer County maintained roads.
Specifically, the Road & Bridge Department maintains approximately 13,000 signs, all of which are manufactured in-house. Annually the Road & Bridge Sign Team inventories county maintained roads to ensure that there are no damaged, missing or deteriorated signs. Road & Bridge will repair and replace approximately 800 signs per year throughout Larimer County at an average cost of $56 per sign.
For a visual picture of how many signs there are, visit our Road Information Locator Page and select Sign Panels, Panel Description.
If a sign is located on a public, non-maintained road or a private road, contact the responsible Homeowner's Association or Road Association.
If the sign is a street/route marker sign, Larimer County may maintain through the Rural Addressing Program.
