Handle hazardous waste properly to protect human and environmental health.
Hazardous waste is waste that is flammable, corrosive, chemically reactive, or toxic. Hazardous and liquid waste should not go in the trash or recycling. Bring it to the Larimer County Hazardous Waste facility to prevent harmful substances from entering the environment, damaging soil, groundwater and streams, or causing harm to people and animals.
Larimer County residents can drop-off hazardous waste for free through the Residential Drop-Off program. Products in good condition are offered back to the public for free through the Drop N' Swap program. Waste from qualifying Larimer County organizations is accepted through the Business Hazardous Waste Diversion Program for a fee. Find out more by clicking on one of the links below!
